Tale & Star (“Company,” “we,” “us”) provides AI-powered personalized children's storybook creation and printing services through our website at taleandstar.com.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our service. By using Tale & Star, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal authority to agree to these Terms.

Our service is intended for use by parents and guardians who wish to create books featuring their own children. You must be the parent or legal guardian of any child whose information or likeness is used in connection with our service.

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorized account use at support@taleandstar.com
• Not share your account credentials with others

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Photos: You represent and warrant that you own or have the right to use any photos you upload, and that you have obtained all necessary permissions from any individuals depicted. For photos of minors, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian.

Generated Content: We grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the storybook content we generate for your personal, non-commercial use (printing, reading, sharing with family and friends).

Prohibited Content: You may not upload content that is illegal, harmful, obscene, or that violates the rights of others.

• Digital previews are provided for your review before placing a print order
• Print orders are custom-manufactured and cannot be returned except as described in Section 7
• Color rendering may vary slightly between digital preview and printed book due to printing process differences
• We reserve the right to decline to create content that violates our content policies

• Prices are listed in USD and may change without notice
• Print orders require full payment at time of ordering
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe
• We do not store credit card information on our servers

If your book arrives damaged or defective, contact us at support@taleandstar.com within 30 days of receipt, including photos of the damage. We will replace your book free of charge.

We do not accept returns or issue refunds for:

• Change of mind after order submission
• Minor color variations between digital preview and print
• Delays due to shipping carrier

• The Tale & Star name, logo, and website design are our intellectual property
• AI-generated illustrations in your book are licensed to you for personal use
• We retain the right to improve our models using aggregate, anonymized usage data
• We will never use your child's identifiable photo to train AI models

Your privacy and your child's privacy are important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

You agree not to:

• Use our service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload another person's photo without their consent (or parental consent for a minor)
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or extract our AI models or systems
• Use automated tools to access our service without written permission
• Interfere with the security or integrity of our systems

Our service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that our service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tale & Star's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, or in the courts of Delaware at our election.

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes via email or a prominent notice on our site. Continued use of our service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
